Association of Canadian Safety Professionals will also provide employment services. It will be available to client companies seeking to hire part-time, full-time/ contractual safety professionals and safety professionals both experienced and entry-level safety professionals looking for employment.
ACSP will work with a team of experienced and dedicated human resources and safety professionals on finding the right candidate. Prior to introducing the candidate to the hiring client, every prospective candidate will be interviewed by a sector specific safety professional and will be assessed to validate knowledge and expectations of the role.
ACSP will also recruit and advocate for recent graduates /internationally trained newcomer safety professionals that meet the definition of an “entry-level” as per Association of Canadian Safety Professionals.
ACSP will be working with Employment Ontario, skills for change and integrating their hiring incentive programs (Test& Hire, Training programs) into the Association employment services to help smooth the path in pursue of and/or upon employment for recent graduates and newcomer safety professionals.

Why considering an entry level candidate?
Association of Canadian Safety Professionals has developed criteria for “entry level” safety professionals that ACSP will recruit.
An “entry level” candidate that is introduced to client companies would have following preliminary qualification.
- certificate/ diploma and/or degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- completion of an entry level mentorship program or bridging program offered by ACSP or co-op program from an accredited university or college.
Nevertheless, an entry level safety professional upon employment will have to
- carry professional liability insurance &
- work with Association of Canadian Safety Professionals towards “ Canadian registered Safety professionals (CRSP)” designation.
